I am Marco — who kept going
15 years in factories. Siemens PLC. Historians. DCS. I saw what was missing — and I built it.
The Mission
Every PLC/SCADA engineer deserves the tools that enterprise companies pay €40,000/year for — but open source, self-hosted, for €8/month.
I spent 15 years building data integrations from scratch at every client. Different PLC brand, different protocol, zero reuse. Then I discovered the missing layer — the ISA-95 semantic model. The layer between your historian and your AI.
I built the Industrial Data Platform to teach every factory engineer what I learned. Not theory. Not vendor demos. A real, working, open-source stack that you own completely.

What drives this program
Engineer-first principles, not vendor interests
Practical
Every lesson builds something you can deploy at a real client. No theoretical frameworks. No vendor demos. Real open-source stack, real factory data.
Open Source Only
Mosquitto/MonsterMQ, N8N, FastAPI, MongoDB, Grafana, Docker. Zero vendor lock-in. Zero licence fees. You own everything you build.
Honest
Walker Reynolds teaches great principles but upsells you to Ignition (€1,500-€5,000/year). I teach the same concepts with open source tools that cost you nothing extra.
Reusable
One framework, infinite clients. The whole point is to build something you deploy in < 1 hour at every new factory project.
AI-Ready
The semantic layer you build is exactly what LLMs and AI agents need to understand your factory. Build it now — before your clients ask for AI integration.
Engineer-First
This program is built by a factory engineer for factory engineers. The language, the examples, the tools — all from 15 years on the shop floor.
The Story
I spent 15 years building the same data integration at every factory client. Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff — different PLC, same problem. Data stuck in the PLC. No central storage. No reuse. Every client, start from zero.
Then I saw the pattern. Every factory had data collection, storage, and dashboards. But none of them had the layer in between — the semantic model. The ISA-95 context layer that turns TIC-001 = 67.3 into 'Pasteurizer · 67.3°C · Normal · OK'. That's the missing layer.
I built the Industrial Data Platform — a reusable, open-source stack that I deploy at every new client in less than 1 hour. AVEVA Connect charges €40,000/year for what I built in JSON. I'm teaching you to do the same.
"Your factory doesn't have a data problem. It has a meaning problem. Fix the model layer — and everything changes."
